Nonsurgical Cosmetic Treatments for a More Youthful You

Anti-aging treatments have come a long way in the past decade. If you’re looking to turn back the clock on your aging skin without going under the knife, check out some of these, the latest in minimally invasive and non-invasive cosmetic procedures for skin.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a procedure that utilizes a sterile dermaroller tool to create multiple pinpricks in the skin. These tiny wounds stimulate the skin to repair and produce new, collagen-heavy skin tissue. Because microneedling actually remodels skin, results are not immediate but can be long-lasting.

Radiofrequency microneedling such as skin renew microneedling rf uses radiofrequency energy to safely warm the skin and further encourage the production of collagen.

Microneedling can be used to treat large pores, acnes and acne scarring, dark spots and wrinkles. Recovery time for this treatment is minimal.

Ultrasonic Skin Tightening Therapy

Ultrasonic skin tightening therapies, such as Ultherapy, utilize ultrasound energy to safely warm underlying skin tissues and encourage the production of new collagen. This increase in collagen and elastin smooths and tightens the skin and is most frequently used on the neck, eyes and brows.

There is no downtime and no sedation needed for this procedure, although some patients do experience mild discomfort during the actual treatment.

The results of ultrasonic skin tightening appear gradually over time and case last up to a few years.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are used to treat areas of volume loss in the face, hands and neck.  These gel-like substances are injected directly into the skin to temporarily fill in or lift the skin. Dermal fillers produce immediate results as the tissue is lifted. However, these results do tend to be less long-lasting than those achieved with treatments which stimulate remodeling of the skin. Discomfort is minimal and the treatment can generally be completed in one sitting.

Dermal fillers are most frequently used in the eye hollows, nasolabial folds and eye hollows.

With all the newest noninvasive anti-aging treatments, it’s easier and less expensive than ever to keep your skin looking its best.
