The Academy Laser Clinics boasts a dedicated team with a decades of experience across their Doctors, Aesthetic Nurses and Dermal Therapists.

Offering a wide range of long lasting anti ageing solutions, including the CO2 laser resurfacing technique, Madonna Peel, classic DOT Laser, Scarless Dot Laser and Stretchmark DOT Laser.

Fractionated CO2 DOT laser is a powerful, advanced technology which can be customised for nearly every skin type and condition and can achieve improvement with wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin, sun spots and pigmentation, acne, surgical and injury scars, lichen sclerosis, Sebaceous Hyperplasia, warts, stretch marks, complexion enhancement.

Light DOT laser treatment otherwise known as the Madonna Peel got its name because Madonna was rumoured to be using the treatment to keep her skin smooth and blemish free. This treatment uses very short pulses but tight spacing so it’s not deep, but covers most of the skin. It produces a full laser peel over 3 – 5 days, removes a lot of pigment, brightens and smooths the skin – makeup is much easier to apply. It can be done over the face, neck, chest and backs of hands. As a light skin resurfacing treatment, it has a relatively fast recovery time.

Classic DOT Laser is resurfacing laser treatment for anti-ageing. It can noticeably tighten skin, reduce wrinkles, firm skin around the eyes and improve overall skin texture.

Scarless Dot Laser can be used to soften and flatten acne, surgical and other scars.

The first step is the initial consultation where the doctors assess the patient’s skin to determine and advise the patient on the best treatment plan.

For most patients, the ideal treatment plan involves three sessions spread four weeks apart. Patients can also undergo maintenance treatment every six to twelve months for long-lasting results.

In some cases, this kind of therapy technique is recommended as the complementary treatment option to other dermatological treatments such as CO2 DOT Laser, PRP-Shot for Men and MonaLisa Touch Laser.

The results for nearly all patients can be extremely successful especially if you complete the recommended treatment program, particularly on the face, which has an amazing ability to regenerate skin. Patient results vary depending upon skin condition.

Erectile Dysfunction, ED, is a very common condition. As many as 50% of all men, aged between 40 and 65 years, will be affected with some level of erectile dysfunction, at different stages in their lives.

CALIBRE Clinic offers the PRP Procedure aimed at regenerating penile tissue and allowing men to enjoy long term healthy erectile function. Platelet Rich Plasma, PRP, is a natural tissue and skin rejuvenation therapy which uses the body’s own concentrated bioactive proteins and blood platelets.

The first step is the initial confidential Doctor consultation, and includes assessments of current medications, weight and lifestyle factors, illness and hormone balance. This is to identify the cause of the problems to ensure you receive the correct treatment for erectile dysfunction.

The PRP-procedure takes around 20 minutes and begins with a small extraction of blood which is centrifuged in order to separate the platelets and monocytes. These are used to stimulate growth factors and stem cells which lead to the regeneration on the penis’ tissue.

An anesthetic cream is used to numb the penis and the concentrated PRP is injected into the areas of the penis which are most important for blood flow. This part of the treatment takes around 10 minutes. During the treatment some swelling and inflammation may occur in some patients. This is expected and will subside within 1-2 days.

After your treatment bruising and tenderness may occur and the area may be swollen for up to 48 hours but will reduce as the liquid is reabsorbed by the body. Ensure the area is kept clean for a week and that you refrain from sexual and strenuous activity for the first 3 days after your treatment.

For the most patients, the skin of the penis looks more hydrated within the first week and tissue regeneration will start after about 3-4 weeks. Subsequent sessions may be arranged 4-8 weeks apart.

The results from the PRP Procedure typically last up between 12-15 months. An annual top up session is recommended however as ageing and lifestyle factors continue to have an effect. The overall results may vary among patients depending on individual circumstances.

A facelift is one of the most recognised cosmetic surgical procedures. Academy Face and Body offers the Deep Plane Face Lift, which pulls on the deeper layer of muscle and tissue to give a stronger face lift.

The first step is an initial consultation with Dr Oats. The surgery and pre-operative care is then scheduled for a suitable candidate. The waiting period is around 3-4 weeks.

A pre-operative skin care program will be administered by a fully qualified Dermal Therapist and a course of three weekly glycol peels and home care products to treat and prepare your skin for surgery.

The surgery is performed under twilight sedation. It can be performed under general anaesthetic if requested. Incisions are hidden within the hairline and ear’s natural curve. The deep plane is accessed via these small incisions, the SMAS elevated and skin pulled tight and lifted into position.

Immediately after the procedure bandages are applied to the face’s periphery. If the surgery is performed under sedation patients will be able to go home after 2-3 hours, if it is performed under general anaesthetic patients stay in the hospital for one night.

The following day you return to the clinic for bandage removal and may now shower and wash your hair.

A week after the surgery your stitches located around the ear will be removed by the team. Dissolving sutures are used for hairline incisions and after a week you can begin wearing makeup again if desired.

Following the surgery your Dermal Therapist will recommend a maintenance program tailored to your skin.

Recovery from this major surgery generally takes several weeks. Once the bandaging and stitches have been removed the swelling and the bruising will fade with time and may 6-8 weeks to go down. Results may vary from person to person.

There maybe some tightness, especially under the chin. The cheeks and ears may experience numbness, this is part of the healing process and will return to normal after a few weeks.

Post operative care is important, the incision lines need do be kept clean by gently washing them 3-4 times a day with a cotton ball and salt water. This helps the incision scars, which are hidden in the hairline and ear crease, look less noticeable and finer. By 6 months post-surgery you should expect flat and fine lines from any scars.
